Electoral Commission Joins Forces with PMI Uganda for 2025 Project Management Conference
Today marks a major milestone in Uganda’s journey toward strategic development, as the Electoral Commission (EC) officially partners with the Project Management Institute Uganda Chapter (PMI Uganda) for the 2025 Annual Project Management Conference. The event is being held under the powerful theme, “Harnessing Project Management for Strategic Growth,” highlighting the critical role of project management in national progress.
This exciting partnership reflects a growing recognition of the value that organized, efficient, and goal-oriented project execution brings to both public and private sectors. With Uganda preparing for major national projects, including the 2026 General Elections, the timing of this collaboration could not be better.
The Electoral Commission’s participation shows its commitment to adopting best practices in planning and delivering its services to the people. Project management skills such as planning, budgeting, coordination, and risk management are vital in ensuring that all election-related activities run smoothly, transparently, and on time.
PMI Uganda, a professional body that promotes project management excellence, brings together experts and leaders from across industries. Their annual conference serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, networking, and inspiring innovation in how projects are led and managed. By joining forces with the EC, they are encouraging government institutions to embrace modern approaches to planning and accountability.
This year’s theme, “Harnessing Project Management for Strategic Growth,” is especially relevant as Uganda seeks to strengthen its institutions and improve service delivery across the board. Strategic growth doesn’t happen by chance it is built through careful planning and execution, which is exactly what project management delivers.
As today’s conference gets underway, it represents more than just an event it is a step toward building a smarter, more capable Uganda. Through this partnership, the Electoral Commission is showing leadership by aligning with global standards and embracing innovation for a better tomorrow.
