Fresh Details!! Museveni Breaks Silence On Arrest of Late MP Ssegirinya & Allan Over The Murders In Masaka, Here Is What You Didn’t Know
President Yoweri Museveni has spoken out about the brutal killings that occurred in the Masaka region following the 2021 general elections, where over 20 people lost their lives.
Addressing a gathering in Luweero Town, the President alleged that opposition members orchestrated the killings as a way to intimidate the government. He claimed that the attackers deliberately targeted elderly individuals in a bid to instill fear.
Museveni stated that the suspects used hammers to carry out the murders quietly and avoid drawing attention. He emphasized that approximately 28 people were killed in the incident. According to him, the use of such silent weapons was a calculated tactic to ensure the killings went unnoticed for as long as possible.
The President also addressed the controversial arrests of the late Kawempe North Member of Parliament, Honorable Mohammad Ssegirinya, and MP Allan Ssewanyana. He explained that the two were apprehended because they were allegedly in communication with the suspects responsible for the murders.
Museveni affirmed that the security forces managed to capture all those involved, including the MPs, who he claimed had ties to the perpetrators.
