NBS TV’s longest serving video journalist Resigns!
Next Media Park that recently retired 30 members of its staff in what it called a digital realignment has lost yet another of its long serving staff.
Moses Namayo,a Senior Parliamentary Reporter and Cameraman has been at NBS TV since its inception in 2007 and is one of the men behind the high quality and outstanding coverages you have watched at NBS.
He is been out of the country for a month and upon return, the Busesa born star wrote a resignation letter that he posted this evening in the Next Media staff WhatsApp group thus;
“In 2009 donning in black suit white shirt with dotted red tie, a young and composed gentleman stepped at 3rd floor of UAP building Kimathi Avenue which used to house nbstv offices. This gentleman was introduced by staff at present as Kin Karisa and later spoke to us and his mission was to transform the television industry not only Uganda but East Africa region to which he has achieved diligently.
Other key promises included nbstv paying its staff top of the range salary scale and giving its workers all their employment benefits as per the labor laws of Uganda.
Kin Karisa is the backbone for the introduction of the LIVEU advanced technology in Uganda and the first LIVEU broadcast was done at Nakukabye during the morning breeze show and it left many puzzled including the host Kagwa Njala how it was done without the femous OB van from UBC and few months later, we hit the road when we telecasted presidential aspirants and former PM John Patrick Amama Mbabazi from kla to Jinja where he was arrested by police and from that time to date, Nbstv has been at the front of Live broadcast.
Nbstv has been a home to me since its inception and all the years i have worked, it has been roses to me coz of the opportunities put in place which saw me elevating into a complete video journalist where i have excelled into script writing, video editing and writing for Nilepost.
On a number of occasions, with the trust they had in me, i have traveled in different countries as a one mans crew and delivered results accordingly.
Naguru hill has been a home and will remain in my heart coz of the mentorship programs put in place for its staff led by Kin and i feel touched that am going to start a new journey outside Naguru and pray to the Almighty God to guide me.
