Heart Broken Namara Opens Up On Her Failed Relationship With Ray G, Says She’s Shocked By The Singer’s Move
Western Uganda’s Music King Reagans Muhairwe aka Ray G was last weekend introduced to his fiance’s home in Rubare Ntungamo in a low key ceremony owing to the COVID-19 season.
News of the Musheshe hit maker’s engagement to TV star Anabelle Twinomugisha a few weeks ago came as a surprise to many considering the musician has been in a serious relationship with a one Liz Ankunda Namara with whom they shared the same roof in Mbarara.
In collaboration with Western Uganda’s Music promoter and radio presenter Daniel MVP, we bring you Namara’s exclusive interview on her 3-year relationship with Ray-G and how it came to an end.
MVP: Do you feel living a low profile contributed to the breakup with Ray G? I would think, he needs a partner who can worship and also always post about him. NAMARA: I don’t think he loves that life. Equally am the same. Currently, Have you seen him share pictures? We were all the same. We had been in the relationship for 3 years(1-year dating and 2 years staying together ), I have not been posting about him. I only shared posters about his new music.
MVP: In February/ March Ray G spent a lot on your birthday. Less than 3 months, Your relationship is over. What happened?
NAMARA: It’s also a shock to me (laughs), He has always been throwing birthday parties for me. It’s just that this time around we shared pictures online.
MVP : 3 years in a Relationship. don’t you feel disappointed and betrayed?
NAMARA: Ofcourse am disappointed but life has to move on. “Waferwa tokurara aha kituuru”
MVP: For 3 years as a couple you MUST have acquired a lot together. Do you feel there is a need for compensation?
NAMARA: Yes of course and so much. My time was wasted. However, that’s life. We acquired a lot as a couple. If it necessitates we will seat and talk. If he doesn’t want, it’s up to him. If he desperately wants the property, am ok with it. Am a hard-working woman, he now can’t compensate all the time he wasted.
MVP: A source claims that 3 years without conceiving prompted him to choose another wife. Were you on a birth control method?
NAMARA : (Laughs) Am fertile and He knows it. I have a child already-a very handsome boy. He is a man( Ray G), I think he needs to check himself. I have been in labor so I know my self.
MVP: Was it really necessary to remove things for the house?
NAMARA: It was necessary.
MVP: Tell me, How does it feel that officially you have lost the relationship? NAMARA: I feel betrayed but am not going to go on social media and I start lamenting. (laughs) am one person who likes giving up things so fast. I don’t see the ship sinking and I stay on it. You may find by the time media got to know about it, my heart had given up on the relationship.
MVP: What’s your advice on Relationships?
NAMARA: Go where you feel loved. I and Ray we had a very wonderful love story. I was never hurt in the relationship until towards the end when things got sore, I was happy. I hear people say maybe Ray G never loved me. Maybe, he knows better If he never loved me. I was happy. My advice is that don’t love so much because that so much will hurt you so much. Live with someone, be happy but always be by Yourself.
MVP: It’s alleged, it’s you who was dating him. Is it true?
NAMARA: Am not a desperate woman. Am beautiful. I can get a man at any point. People should not think am a sugar mummy or too old to keep begging for love. It was a complete sacrifice to be with Ray G.
MVP: Compared to your Age, Ray G is a young boy. It was unwise to date him?
NAMARA: Looking young doesn’t mean he is Young. There are people whose bodies don’t show that they are Old but when they are actually Old. He is older than Me. This may come as a surprise but ask him if you doubt.
MVP: What next now?
NAMARA: Life has to move on. Let me look for money to make my life better.
