NBS Sabiti Joseph Returns Like Prodigal Son
One of NBS TV‘s finest political reporters Joseph Sabiti also known as Zombo man is set to return to Next Media Services after more than 6 months since he quit the station for a communications job at Action Aid International.
Sabiti who had distinguished himself as mature and highly intelligent political reporter caused a stir when he announced his exit from NBS late last year.
He was going for a lucrative offer at Action Aid but the same was a short contract. Smlnews can confirm that the best import from Zombo is set to return on July 1 after his pleas were accepted by Kin Kariisa. Sabiti has been frequenting his former workplace pleading like the biblical prodigal son to return home. He finally put pen to paper last week in a slightly enhanced take home package.
Vision Group CEO Robert Kabushega’s move to have Sabiti join Urban TV to host a political show similar to NBS TV’s popular Thursday show “The Frontline” collapsed over Sabiti’s high demands.
The Next Media Services guru is said to have accepted his reporter’s return with less hesitation given his skills. Sabiti is a dallying to many viewers going by the comments posted on his social media platforms when he announced he was leaving.
His line of duty can be traced from former WBS TV where he together with popular female TV star Mildred Tuhaise worked in the news room under the mentorship of Ndejje University don Gorreti Kyeswa.
He will return to the newsroom but also handle the Frontline show currently being hosted by Simon Kaggwa Njala, who replaced Charles Odongtho who quit media plaza dramatically.
Sabiti posted on his tweeter handle on June 13 that “The official count down to the end of the journalistic break starts now! God bless Zombo” The tweet has gone viral with more than 100 retweets, a thousand likes and more than a hundred comments majorly welcoming back one of Uganda’s best political analysts cum reporters.

Kin Kariisa is not knew to parenting journalists and giving second chances. After the 2016 elections, Kariisa did not allow his top cream to meander. He welcomed back political failures Simon Muyanga Lutaaya, Simon Kaggwa Njala and Joyce Bagala who had all lost their bid to join the 10th Parliament.
Kin Kariisa whose Next Media Services empire has changed the media landscape for a decade now is the most sought after media house for upcoming and long serving journalists due to his fat cheques, professionalism and inhouse mentoring. Welcome home, Zombo’s finest Sabitti Joseph.
