Exclusive!! Nixon Agasirwe Breaks Silence, Major Arrests Expected in High-Profile Murder Investigations
Former senior police officer Nixon Agasirwe has reportedly started working with security agencies investigating the murder of former Chief Prosecutor Joan Kagezi and other unsolved high-profile killings in Uganda. Once feared for his harsh tactics, Agasirwe is now said to be revealing secrets and naming powerful individuals from the police, legal, and political circles.
Sources close to the investigation say President Yoweri Museveni recently ordered top security teams—including Defense Intelligence, Crime Intelligence, and CID—to revisit these unresolved cases. Investigators are now digging up fresh evidence that could lead to the re-arrest of former Bodaboda 2010 leader Hajji Abdallah Kitata and other big names.
Agasirwe’s confession appears to be a key piece in the reopened investigations. He is reportedly working with detectives under CID Director Major Tom Magambo, giving detailed information that is now part of the revived case files.
In one chilling account, Agasirwe is accused of being involved in the murder of an Eritrean businessman, Daniel Weldu. Reports say Weldu was tortured at gunpoint inside Agasirwe’s office and forced to transfer Shs8 billion before being killed. His luxury cars were also taken.
Security sources also reveal that Kitata was once seen driving a Land Cruiser believed to have belonged to the late Joan Kagezi. That vehicle has since vanished, and investigators are now trying to trace how he got it and where it ended up.
Court records also mention a known hitman, Kazahura, who claims he was hired by Kitata and other top officers to carry out assassinations. Lawyers and bank officials who were present during these events are now being closely monitored by security.
Authorities are hopeful that Agasirwe’s revelations will help solve the killings of AIGP Felix Kaweesi, Muhammad Kirumira, Col. Ibrahim Abiriga, and several city sheikhs, whose murders have remained a mystery for years.
In a surprising move, security forces have withdrawn all UPDF guards from Kitata, except those guarding Christine Muhooza, who is said to hold important intelligence. She is currently under house arrest.
With all this unfolding, sources say the country should expect a series of high-profile arrests in the coming days.
