Welcome Back!! Gen Kulayigye Resumes His Role As Defence Spokesperson

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) have confirmed the return of Major General Felix Kulayigye to his official role as the Director of Defence Public Information (DDPI). He had been on a short leave, during which Colonel Chris Magezi had been serving in an acting capacity.

In an official statement, Colonel Magezi announced that he has now stepped down from the acting role, as Major General Kulayigye has resumed his duties. He informed both the general public and media stakeholders about the change, thanking them for their continued support and cooperation.

Major General Kulayigye is a respected leader within the UPDF and is well-known for his effective communication and professionalism. His return is seen as a positive step for the Defence Forces, especially in ensuring that accurate and timely information is shared with the public and media.

The UPDF expressed appreciation to everyone who remained engaged during the brief transition period. With Maj Gen Kulayigye back in his position, the Defence Public Information office is once again under the guidance of its experienced and trusted head.

His presence is expected to bring continuity, clarity, and strong leadership in the UPDF’s communication efforts moving forward.
