Top Story!! Gen Muhoozi Drops Another ‘Bomb Shell’ Names Pulkol As Betrayer Of the late Brig Noble Mayombo

A storm is brewing in Uganda’s military circles after General Muhoozi Kainerugaba took to Twitter with explosive claims against David Pulkol, a former intelligence chief. In a strongly worded message, Muhoozi labeled Pulkol a “habitual traitor” and accused him of being involved in the betrayal of the late Brigadier Noble Mayombo, a highly respected military officer and close ally to President Museveni.

“There is a habitual traitor called Pulkol who dared to speak against me the other day,” Muhoozi tweeted, stirring widespread attention. “That betrayer of our late big brother Brig. Noble Mayombo will have nowhere to hide.” These words, laced with emotion and fury, have shocked many, not just because of their intensity, but also due to the gravity of the accusation.

Noble Mayombo, who died under mysterious circumstances in 2007, was known for his loyalty and brilliance. He was widely admired, and his death left a deep void in Uganda’s military and political world. Many questions were raised at the time about the cause of his death, but no clear answers were ever made public. Now, General Muhoozi’s statement could reignite public interest in the case and possibly open new investigations.

Pulkol, once the Director General of the External Security Organization (ESO), has remained a controversial figure in Uganda’s politics. Though he has not responded publicly to the new accusations, his critics have often labeled him as unpredictable and untrustworthy. However, no formal charges have ever been brought against him in relation to Mayombo’s death.

General Muhoozi’s outburst appears to be part of a broader campaign against those he considers enemies or traitors within Uganda’s political class. Over the past few months, Muhoozi has become more vocal and assertive, especially on social media, using Twitter as a platform to express his views on governance, loyalty, and justice.

Many Ugandans are now waiting to see how the government, the army, and the public respond to this very serious claim. Will Pulkol come forward to defend himself? Will new evidence about Mayombo’s death emerge? Or is this simply another chapter in Uganda’s long and complex political drama?

One thing is clear, the war of words is far from over, and the truth whatever it may be could change the legacy of some of Uganda’s most powerful figures.
