Sanyu FM’s Hot Mic Search Nears Climax As Top 20 Are Selected

The search for Sanyu FM’s next top presenter is nearing completion following the selection of the top 20.

These were this week selected from the top 50 after garnering the highest number of likes on social media which contributed largely to the total votes.

According to Roger Mugisha the Sanyu FM’s new program’s Director, the contestants had to use their social media platforms to promote the station where the number of likes contributed 60% of their total votes with 40% from their judges.

In the next stage, the participants will be co-hosting full shows starting on Sunday running until next Wednesday. Then on Thursday, the top 10 will be selected by a panel of judges.

“The top ten will have to appear before the panel for oral interviews where the top presenter will be selected says Mugisha.

Some of the notable figures that made it to the next round include former big brother housemate Duncan Kushaba aka Kyle, NTV’s Crystal Panda and award winning Ugandan Hip Hop Artist Timothy Muhumuza aka Timothy Code.

The winner of the Sanyu FM’s Hot Mic Search will take home cash prize worth 3M shillings and a presenter Job at the station with a two year contract offer.

The search which was launched last month attracted a total of 1,300 entries where the top 50 were selected.
