FDC WARS: Hell Breaks loose as Nandala Fires Ssemujju Nganda
The Forum for Democratic Change-FDC has sacked estranged party Mouthpiece Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda as the party’s Whip in Parliament.
In an August, 7 letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Anita Among, and signed by under-fire FDC Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafaabi, Nganda is directed to vacate immediately.
The motormouth Kira Municipality Legislator has been replaced by Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi whose appointment, Nandala says, takes immediate effect.
“In accordance to Section 6(1), the party hereby appoints Hon. Nsibambi Yusuf as the Party Whip of the Forum for Democratic Change replacing Ibrahim Semujju Nganda.
In the same vein, we hereby withdraw Semujju Ibrahim Nganda as the Party Whip with immediate effect.” Reads Nandala’s letter to the Speaker.
Ssemujju Nganda has been at the center of the “evil money” controversy between the Nandala/ Amuriat leadership and a faction loyal to party founding father, Dr Kizza Besigye.
Dr Besigye has severally accused Nandala and Amuriat of acquiring a large unspecified sum of money from State House to sponsor POA’s unsuccessful 2021 campaign. The dual, however, denies the accusation.
There have been loud voices calling for the resignation of Party president Partick Amuriat and SG Nandala to give room for a thorough probe into the misdeeds reported at Bajjanankumbi in the recent months.
In a lengthy missive released on Monday, August, 7th, four time presidential condenser, Col Dr Besigye punched holes in a report by the Eleders’ Committtee which vindicated the two leaders, indicating that it supposedly only intended to set them free without necessarily investigating the pertinent issues at hand.
