Calvin Echodu Gains Ground as NRM Delegates Endorse His Bid for Eastern Uganda Vice Chairperson
Support for Mr. Calvin Echodu’s bid to become the NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda is growing rapidly, with delegates from Kakumiro, Kibaale, Kagadi, Hoima, and Kibuku districts openly endorsing his candidacy. They described him as a capable, inclusive leader with a clear vision for transformation.
At gatherings held in Kakumiro NRM House, Star Light Hotel, and URDT Reflection Center, Mr. Echodu outlined his key priorities: improving service delivery, creating jobs, enhancing education access, and empowering women and youth. He pledged to work closely with NRM leadership and structures to ensure development that reaches every community.
In Hoima and Kikuube, during a meeting at Hoima Resort Hotel, Mr. Echodu emphasized his commitment to social equity. He promised to advocate for vulnerable families, especially children in need of better education, and to leverage his international networks to connect Ugandans to global opportunities through Uganda’s diplomatic missions.
Unity was a central theme throughout his engagements. Mr. Echodu urged NRM members to put aside tribal, religious, and regional differences and focus on building a stronger, more united party. He cautioned against divisive politics and called for leaders who are experienced, reliable, and committed to the people.
With years of humanitarian and development work in the Teso and Karamoja regions, Mr. Echodu brings valuable grassroots experience. He promised to continue promoting NRM values through servant leadership, social inclusion, and practical action.
His message remains consistent and powerful:
“Let us choose leaders who care, who serve, and who unite us. Together, we can build a stronger NRM and a better Uganda.”
