“We Are Struggling Financially” Bobi Wine Breaks Silence

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, the President of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has openly admitted that his party is facing serious financial challenges. While addressing supporters at the party’s headquarters this week, Bobi Wine said the party is under pressure and urgently needs support.

“We really need help,” he told the crowd, as he invited supporters to take part in a fundraising event scheduled for Monday. He made it clear that NUP receives no government funding, despite ongoing rumors and lies being spread by what he called “party haters.”

Bobi Wine further shocked his supporters by revealing that the government, under President Museveni, has allegedly set aside Shs30 billion with the goal of weakening NUP. He said this money is being used to bribe individuals, spread false information, and infiltrate the party in hopes of causing confusion and collapse from within.

Despite these attacks, Bobi Wine remained firm in his message. “No amount of money can stop people who are determined,” he declared boldly, receiving cheers from the audience. He stressed that NUP is still strong, still focused, and still committed to fighting for a better Uganda for all citizens.

“We are building a new Uganda that will be enjoyed by everyone,” Bobi Wine added, reminding supporters that the dream is bigger than any financial setback.

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions on social media. Supporters praised his honesty and transparency, while critics questioned how the party operates and where it gets its support.

As Uganda heads toward the 2026 elections, this moment marks a critical time for NUP. The call for unity, funding, and resilience is louder than ever, and Bobi Wine is making it clear: they will not be shaken.
