Calvin Echodu Nominated to Contest for NRM Vice Chairperson, Eastern Uganda

Mr. Calvin Echodu has officially been nominated to run for the position of Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda under the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party. The nomination, confirmed today by the NRM Electoral Commission, marks a significant step in his political aspirations and has been welcomed with enthusiasm by his supporters.

Speaking shortly after the announcement, Mr. Echodu expressed deep gratitude to Ugandans from across the country, especially grassroots communities that have stood firmly by him. He described the nomination as a shared achievement between himself and the people who believe in his vision for a more inclusive and results-driven leadership.

“I am humbled by the trust placed in me,” Mr. Echodu said. “This nomination represents our collective hope for leadership that listens, acts, and truly delivers. I’m ready to walk this journey with the people of Eastern Uganda.”

He pledged to focus his campaign on unity, service, and transformative leadership rooted in real community needs. Mr. Echodu also took time to congratulate NRM Chairman and President of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for once again availing himself to guide the party and the nation. He commended the President’s enduring commitment to progress and called for unity among party members.

Quoting Helen Keller, he remarked, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much,” emphasizing that his campaign is driven by collective action and people-centered ideals.

With his nomination now official, Mr. Calvin Echodu enters the race with growing momentum and widespread support. His candidacy is widely seen as a fresh opportunity for renewed leadership and positive change across Eastern Uganda.
