Murder Over Shs 2,000!! Matugga Traditional Healer Stabbed to Death by Friend

Police in Matugga are investigating a shocking murder that happened in the early hours of May 8, 2025, in Kito Cell. The victim, Bisobolwa Isa, a 45-year-old traditional healer, was stabbed to death after a fight with a younger man he had been staying with.

The suspect, Mutyaba Richard, aged 18, is believed to have attacked Bisobolwa after a disagreement over Shs 2,000. According to reports, the two were last seen together at Mama Naka Bar in Matugga on the evening of May 7. Witnesses say the two had been drinking and appeared to be on good terms before things turned violent.

At around 1:20 AM, an argument broke out between them at home. During the fight, Mutyaba allegedly picked a sharp object and stabbed Bisobolwa twice—once in the neck and again in the stomach. The injuries were severe.

Bisobolwa was rushed to Wanda Health Centre for emergency treatment, but sadly, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. They registered a case of murder, documented the crime scene, and transported the body to Mulago Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

The suspect, Mutyaba, fled the scene and is currently on the run. Police are actively searching for him. They are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SSP P. Onyango, confirmed the incident and assured the public that investigations are ongoing.
