As the 2024 U.S. Presidential campaign enters its final stretch, fresh polling from CNN/SSRS reveals a tightly contested race across six critical battleground states. Vice President Kamala Harris currently holds a slight advantage over former President Donald Trump among likely voters in Wisconsin and Michigan, while Trump leads in Arizona. The two candidates are neck and neck in Georgia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, with Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes being particularly crucial as the state remains up for grabs.
In Wisconsin, Harris is backed by 50% of likely voters compared to Trump’s 44%. Similarly, in Michigan, Harris leads 48% to Trump’s 43%. Meanwhile, Trump holds a 49%
to 44% lead in Arizona. The races in Georgia and Nevada are nearly even, with Harris at 48% to Trump’s 47%. Pennsylvania, a pivotal state, sees the candidates locked in a dead heat at 47% each.
Despite these current standings, the race is far from settled. An average of 15% of likely voters across these states have yet to firmly decide their choice, indicating that a significant portion of the electorate could still change their minds as the campaigns intensify in the final nine weeks before elections
