10 perish in Kyenjojo accident.

10 people have perished in a fatal accident this morning in Kyenjojo District after a taxi collided with a Isuzu bus PokoPoko.
The accident occurred at 5:00am along the Fort Portal highway from Kampala at Kayihura village in Kyenjojo. Ten people out of the fifteen who were in the taxi died instantly while the other five who survived with serious injuries were rushed to Kyenjojo hospital where they’re still receiving treatment.
The passengers in the taxi were coming from Kishani Ruhama village in Ntugamo and were headed to Kimono in Houma District for burial.
According to eye witnesses, it’s alleged that the taxi driver left his side and collided with the bus.
Police in the region has blamed the accident on reckless driving and overspeeding.
All passengers in the bus did not sustain any injuries save for a few who were seated in front that were scratched by the glasses. The bus driver accused the taxi driver of reckless driving.
