Right Honorable Rebecca Kadaga, the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Kamuli Woman MP has condemned the Kyabazinga’s private visit to the matrimonial home of Speaker Anita Annet Among and husband Engineer Moses Magogo in Buyende.
After his participation in the Kagulu hill climbing challenge on Saturday 20 August ,the Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope was hosted by Among at her home in Magogo’s constituency and he was seen in a jovial mood with the speaker kneeling down to offer him a glass of water.
The unprecedented visit left many people talking with others wondering how the king could be hosted by a subject since community is used to the reverse.
Others complained that it was a breach of kisoga culture while others were praising Among as powerful that she managed to court the King to visit her private home.

Kadaga now says the Kingdom would have prevented the king from the visit she argues was a cultural blunder and breach of common practice.
She was speaking to politicians and religious leaders facilitating her reconciliation with fellow politicians from Busoga at their 3rd meeting in Kampala.
A source that spoke to #smlnews on condition of anonymity said the former speaker was bitter and wondered how the kingdom could have allowed such a thing.
Kadaga, former NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba, 3rd deputy prime minister Lukia Isanga Nakadama, the Minister for Presidency Babirye Milly Babalanda and the Lands State Minister Persis Namuganza agreed to end their differences and unite for Busoga.

The reconciliation efforts are being facilitated by top religious leaders Bishop Paul Naimanhe(Busoga Diocese), Patrick Wakula( Central Busoga Diocese) Dr Mohammed Hussein Bowa (Busoga Regional Khadi) and 1st Deputy Katukiro Prof. Mohammed Lubega Kisambira.
They have so far held three reunion meetings at Yellow Chills Restaurant in Jinja, Serena Hotel Kigo and last night’s meeting in Kampala but the efforts still suffer lukewarm reception and compression by the local population and some politicians. One of the legislators from the region was overheard asking one of the people behind the reunion; “Our survival is from their differences, what we shall eat if they unite?”
Is Speaker Among a threat to the reunion?
Word is going round that Speaker Anita Annet Among who recently legalized her marriage to Budiope East MP Engineers Moses Magogo has grabbed public attention and could dominate the region against the survival of the hitherto powerful native women politicians.
She is feared as powerful, well connected and resourced to overshadow others and become the “Maama Busoga” she promised to be when she visited Busoga in March.
And when the Kyabazinga visited her new matrimonial home in Buyende, the message was clear that the monarch had welcomed, endorsed and blessed Anita Among’s “marriage and its results”
Security is investigating secret meetings said to be taking place in the region by some politicians seeking to block Among’s Parliamentary bid in Buyende District.
Anita is said to have honored the request by Busoga Kingdom to her office to facilitate the monarch and his delegation for a trip to Canada to attend the first Busoga conference there.
The spokesperson for the kingdom Andrew Ntange declined to explain the Kyabazinga visit to Among’s home saying it was a private function.
For now, attention is on the Speaker who is building and settling her marriage in Buyende and the native women politicians preaching reconciliation after many years of bickering.
