The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has officially launched its 2025 Internship Program, giving students and fresh graduates a great chance to gain hands-on experience in the real working world. If you’ve been looking for a way to start your career journey, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The internship will run for three months, from July to September 2025, and URA has opened up 256 positions across several departments. These internships are not just about office work—they are designed to give young people valuable skills, professional guidance, and exposure to Uganda’s key tax and revenue systems.
The biggest number of positions—100 slots—have been set aside in the Domestic Taxes Department, which deals with taxes paid by businesses and individuals within Uganda. This means if you’re studying business, accounting, or economics, this could be a great fit.
There are also many other areas where students can apply:
Customs (35 positions): For those interested in how goods are taxed when moving in and out of the country.
Administration (26 positions): Ideal for students studying public administration or office management.
Information Technology and Innovation (12 positions): Perfect for tech-savvy applicants.
Intelligence and Investigations (12 positions): A chance to work on data and crime analysis.
