Security agencies have made extensive preparations to ensure a safe and smooth experience for fans attending the Uganda Cranes vs South Africa match at Namboole Stadium tomorrow, 18 August 2025. Authorities have received reports about fake tickets being sold to the public, and they are warning fans not to buy tickets today, 17 August, or tomorrow. Purchasing counterfeit tickets could lead to disappointment and entry denial.
Some real tickets are being sold to multiple people, but only the first person to enter the stadium will be admitted. Machines at the gates will mark the others as already used, meaning they won’t gain entry. For those who don’t have tickets, CAF has set up three fan zones with large screens where the public can safely watch the match. These fan zones are located at King’s Park Bweyogerere, Kyadondo Rugby Club, and Masindi, allowing fans to enjoy the game in a lively and secure environment.
Security personnel will be positioned at all access points and will conduct thorough checks to prevent any threats. Additionally, there will be a strong security presence on the roads leading to Namboole Stadium to maintain order. Fans who have not secured tickets are encouraged to visit the designated fan zones to enjoy the match safely while cheering for Uganda Cranes. Following these guidelines will help everyone have a fun, safe, and worry-free match day.
