Former Redpepper Managing Director Arinaitwe Rugyendo sweat plasma for one and half hours at Makerere University.
Rugyendo was at CHUSS’s smartroom for defence of his PhD thesis titled from Print to Digital: Evolution, Adoption and Contribution of ePapers and Contribution of ePapers in the Ugandan Press.
His thesis is supervised by renowned Makerere dons Adolf Mbaine and Dr. William Tayeebwa.
Shortly after his presentation, Rugyendo asked his daughter for a pack of wipes which used out in a matter of minutes.
Rugyendo was explaining the growth of epapers and the shocks it brought to the Print media industry. The defence attended by Makerere University Vice Chancellor Prof.Barnabas Nawangwe. Rugyendo theorises the Adoption of the epapers and the technological advancement as a compliment facilitator of change.
Critiqued by Dr. Isaac Tibasiima, Rugyendo exhibited clarity of his study with applause from the fully packed room.
At least ten PhD holders and students attended Rugyendo’s defence.
He had well hyped his appearance across social media platforms resulting in full attendance.
The critical thinkers assigned to read his thesis almost put Rugyendo out, attacking his conclusions and findings.
Nevertheless, Rugyendo will have a few corrections and sooner could carry the tittle “Dr”. Prayers brother.
