President Yoweri Museveni has delivered on his 2021 promise of giving Ugx 100m per parish per year under the Parish Development Program, PDM. At the start of PDM 39% lived in subsistence life, 24.2% of these were purely in agriculture while 14.8% were nowhere.
PDM has so far reached 3.3m beneficiaries amounting to 3.3 trillion shillings.
Museveni has promised Ugx 300m per parish in special cases like Wakiso, Kampala and selected large parishes in other areas.
Under Operation Wealth Creation the conspicuously quiet General Salim Saleh has delivered, an unbelievable industrial park in Kapeeka and I doubt our political opponents have visited or inquired into what it is.
Evidence of production activities like poultry, piggery, crop production among others have been shown in video, picture and live testimonies of beneficiaries.
This time the thieves have missed out. It is these thieves that were tarnishing the image of government yet hiding in it.
Museveni Remembers Group Outside Agriculture in PDM
The population of 14.8% were people who had no land and no skills in subsistence, they needed skills and so the presidential industrial skilling program that looked laughable was launched. No one valued skills like hairdressing yet saloons exist among us. Today 15,000 beneficiaries have so far graduated with skills throughout the regional hubs.
Government has so far spent Ugx 8.8bn for skilling and a fresh order to help the trainees with capital has been issued. Each district now received Ugx 50m for these young people. Hair dressing, tailoring, wielding, carpentry, joinery, bricklaying among other skills is no longer scarce in villages.
I live near St. Andrea Kaggwa Catholic Parish, one of the training centres in Kampala and 500 learners come every day for skilling which is free of charge including free lunch. Until you reach here u may never know who needed such simple skills. I invite the opposition and Museveni haters to visit or pay attention to this. Question the cost or delivery of the program, do not rubbish it.
Beyond Parish Development Program Money
Beyond money, power has been extended to villages, some are yet to tap into it while the elites are complaining about cost of power first power. First should be availability and access then the debate on costs. How cheap would it be if not available.
There are a number of skilled people now making every village a production hub of some sort. Do u remember the Hodari maize floor from Kenya, today almost every village has a maize mill using electricity, solar or fuel which are available, underline available because there was a time they were not.
Government has spread fibre and internet is available, Expensive. Yes, but what comes first the connectivity or the cost?
PDM Related Infrastructure…
You cannot promote mass production without addressing access to markets. Districts receive Ugx 1bn per year for roads. Surely does this money go to Museveni’s pocket or his relatives. Can one confirm that the PDM money sent to Kaliro, my home District went to Muhoozi or Natasha!
We have just been enjoying African football from better stadiums, others are being built, we could host the World Cup one day, power dams, good roads upcountry and modern markets are right there in your locality. Let’s then protect what we have so far achieved as a country and take a leap forward into what we aspire.
Oppose Museveni because he knows it and he has allowed it but gather enough evidence, take him on statistics and not slogans.
It would be naive for anyone to plead with you to vote for Yoweri Museveni, if you see what we see vote him, if you don’t, leave him…
Vote for Museveni if you want
