JUST IN!! Hon. Nsereko Launches His Own Political Party, Eyes 2026 Presidency

In a surprising move that has shaken Uganda’s political scene, Hon. Muhammed Nsereko has launched his own political party named the Ecological Party of Uganda. This decision comes after he refused to join other opposition groups seeking to remove President Yoweri Museveni from power in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
Hon. Nsereko, who is known for his outspoken and independent approach in Parliament, now wants to take his political journey to a whole new level. He has declared that he will be running for the presidency in 2026 under the ticket of his newly formed party. This announcement marks a bold step in his political career, as he seeks to challenge long-time leader Gen. Museveni in the upcoming elections.
Speaking about his party’s vision, Nsereko revealed plans to start a massive recruitment campaign across the country. The goal is to bring in individuals who will stand on the Ecological Party’s ticket in different parts of Uganda. He aims to make the party the largest and most progressive political force in the country.
Unlike some other political movements, Nsereko emphasized that the Ecological Party of Uganda will be peaceful and non-violent. He made it clear that there will be no “foot soldiers” like those associated with the National Unity Platform (NUP). His party also promises to be non-sectarian, welcoming Ugandans from all walks of life and backgrounds.
By focusing on unity, peace, and progressive ideas, Nsereko hopes to offer a new political home for Ugandans who are tired of the current system and the usual political games. As the 2026 elections draw nearer, all eyes will be on how this new party grows and whether it can become the game-changer Nsereko believes it will be.
Only time will tell if the Ecological Party of Uganda will rise to become a major player in Ugandan politics, but for now, Nsereko’s bold move has definitely added a fresh twist to the road to 2026.
