Rotary Club of Kampala Central Launches ‘Plant Your Balance’ at Lake Victoria Primary School

In an inspiring move to promote environmental stewardship among the youth, the Rotary Club of Kampala Central today kicked off its ‘Plant Your Balance’ initiative at Lake Victoria Primary School in Garuga, aiming to promote environmental conservation among the younger generation. The event saw active participation from both pupils and club members, who planted trees around the school grounds as part of the club’s ongoing efforts to combat climate change.
Rotarian Marion Muyoba, President of the Rotary Club of Kampala Central, emphasized the importance of educating children about the environment. “We have done this to teach this young generation how to conserve the environment,” she stated, underscoring the initiative’s focus on instilling environmental values in students.
The ‘Plant Your Balance’ campaign is was initiated by the Rotary District Governor Anne Nkutu of D9213 as part of a larger plan to continue planting more trees in order to conserve the environment and encourage environmental education.
