Uganda’s Titans Prepare for Olympic Glory in Paris.

As the Paris 2024 Olympics loom, Uganda’s athletic hopes are pinned with two remarkable talents: Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo. Both athletes have been trailblazers in the world of long-distance running, each with their unique achievements and ambitions.
Joshua Cheptegei, Uganda’s seasoned champion, has already left an indelible mark on the athletics world, now firmly set on the Paris Olympics where he aims to secure the elusive 10,000m Olympic gold of which the run is set to happen today.
Known for his impeccable pace and endurance, Cheptegei holds the current world record in the 10,000m, a feat that has cemented his reputation as one of the greatest distance runners of all time.

In Paris, Cheptegei is not just competing for another medal; he is racing against time to complete his legacy, knowing that this could be his last chance on the grandest stage.
Standing alongside Cheptegei is Jacob Kiplimo, the young prodigy who has rapidly risen through the ranks to challenge the world’s best. Kiplimo’s breakthrough came at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he won bronze in the 10,000m, signaling his arrival as a force to be reckoned with. Since then, Kiplimo has continued to build on his success, consistently pushing the boundaries and setting new personal bests.
Uganda is set to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26th July to 11th August 2024. Uganda’s athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympics games except for Montreal 1976 as part of the Congolese-led boycott.

Athletes we have 9 Men and 11 Women, cycling we have only 1 Woman, Rowing we have only 1 Woman well as swimming we have 1 Man and 1 Woman all making a total of 24 Participants.
Their rivalry is one of mutual respect, but once they step onto the track, all camaraderie is set aside in pursuit of glory.
