The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia to unveil new tourism destination in Tanzania to the country’s tour operators with hope that this will become the foundation for the launch of charter flights
Refering to the statements made by Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the ministry’s Department for Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects, the ministry noted that “the potential of tourism between our countries is high, but it is necessary to promote ourselves more actively, and at the same time create a new standard of recreation for Russians with an affordable cost of tourist products.”
Russians are already willing to travel to African countries, but so far they choose destinations promoted on the Russian market, such as Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco or Seychelles.
In 2023, Russian tourists made 1.3 million journeys to African countries, resulting to 1.4 times increase compared to 2022.
