In a meeting held on the 28th July 2022 in Gulu city, the members of the Democratic Party through the District Executive Committee(DEC) unanimously endorsed the document of the Cooperation  signed between the Democratic party( DP) and the ruling National Resistance Movement( NRM). This was after thoroughly going through the document which they consider as very important and if fully implemented will go a long way to solve many outstanding constitutional and political issues Uganda is facing.

Furthermore the members gladly pointed out that the Democratic Party backed District Executive Committee is not alone in its full support for the Cooperation Agreement signed by their DP Party top executives and the Ruling NRM party. The members are greatly impressed with the spontaneous acceptance of this document of national importance by the population for which they feel if well and sincerely implemented, shall unite and benefit all Ugandans to put aside all other differences which divide them and unconditionally rally behind the initiators of the cooperation for the common good.

In the meeting, it was also suggested that more copies of the document be massively produced ready for circulation to reach the masses for them to read and know the content of the cooperation.

The positive comment of President Museveni that the Democratic Party is a sincere, straight forward, and not destructive political Organization was well received with great pleasure and pride. Besides the above attributes, again with great satisfaction, members pointed out that the Democratic Party groomed so many Ugandans for position of leadership including the current President and many others holding key positions in Government. The party also fought for the independence of Uganda and made itself governing in 1961.
