Protests in Jinja over high fuel and Commodity prices

Police in jinja is firing teargas live bullets in some parts of Jinja City to disperse people who are protesting high fuel and commodity prices.

Local leaders have condemned the protests and blamed an invisible hand for fueling young people.

National planning authority ED Joseph Muvawala has called on police to rush and secure the Butiki college Road from Namulesa trading center.

In a whatsapp group, the Katukiro of Busoga indicated that he made frantic calls to police to alert them that the angry youths were retreating to the road leading to his home.
