The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has sent out his congratulatory message to Muslims across the country. This came upon reaching of this year’s Eid Al Adha that will be marked tomorrow.
“We join you to celebrate the grace of Allah demonstrated in the known act of sacrificing animals and we praise Allah for the open path that allows us to communicate with him and to accept all that comes from his divine plan” Kabaka Mutebi wrote in Luganda.

He then talked tough about the plight of citizens arising from high commodity prices. High prices have occasioned them to untold suffering, unexplainable murders, disappearance of citizens. Imprisonment of the innocent and growing cases of robbery and burglary to mention but a few.
He added that government must streamline the remuneration of all workers to end the growing trend of strikes witnessed in recent days.
The Kabaka in a seemingly sad tone said “We pray for justice in enforcing environmental laws that prevent the poor from settling in wetlands but once evicted, the affluent also called investors occupy them”
Kabaka Mutebi then concluded his congratulatory message with a call for calm. He said that only faith in God will deliver our country as was the case for Abraham.
The message by the Buganda monarch identifies him close with the plight of his subjects. His message shows disappointment to the injustices and growing crime in the country.
Muslims over the World will tomorrow Saturday, July 9 celebrate Eid Al Adha. Remembering the act of faith by Abraham who nearly sacrificed his son Isaac.
