Police in Kabalagala have arrested one suspect on allegations of assault and disrupting elections.
It is alleged that on the 02/09/2020 at Jack and Jill polling station, Kyene Zone in Kabalagala Makindye Division, Musingizi Ronald, 20, a resident of the same area unlawfully assaulted Lunkuse Hasifah, 25, who had lined up for voting thereby causing her bodily harm.
According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, Lunkuse reported the case and was issued with medical forms and she was examined. “The medical Doctor report indicated that the injuries were harmful,” said Onyango
He says the suspect has been arrested and detained at Kabalagala Police station and the case file has been submitted to State Attorney for perusal and legal advice.
