Panic has gripped the busy trading center of Musita in Mayuge District along Jinja – Iganga – Tororo road after a vendor was discovered positive for coronavirus.
Police has condoned off the area where the victim is confirmed awaiting Police escorts and an Ambulance to transfer the victim to Jinja Hospital. The victim is Fred Ssamanya son of Mr. Edaaya.
The seemingly shocked residents after getting the report from Mayuge Health Center decided to close their colleague inside his house as they make frantic calls to Jinja and Iganga Hospital emergency teams to pick him.
By press time almost half of the trader population in this busy highway spot had deserted the area for fear of being picked up and forced into isolation.
Word was running round like bushfire throwing the whole town into panic
