Man In Mukono Stabbed To Death By Wife During A fight

Mukono Police Station is investigating a murder by stabbing of Isaac Ecudu, 24, a machine operator at Quality Plastics Ltd and a resident of Nangwa Nakisunga Sub County Mukono District, by his wife Salome Aanyu, 20.

The incident happened on Friday 19th June 2020 from their home of residence in Nangwa, Nakisunga.

According to the neighbours, it is alleged the couple had a fight that prompted Aanyu to pull out a knife stabbing Ecudu to death.

Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala metropolitan deputy police spokesperson says officers at Mukono Police were informed of what had happened and they dispatched detectives.

“A blood stained shirt has been recovered and Aanyu arrested on allegations of murder. She is detained at Mukono Police as investigations go on” said Owoyesigyire in a statement released today.

He cautioned couples to desist from domestic violence asking them to at all times consider help and advice from the relevant agencies that offer it before resorting to domestic violence.

Meanwhile the Kira Division Police Station is investigating a death by electrocution of a one Rose Auma, 27, a casual labourer, that happened yesterday at the residence of Juliet Mukisa, 29, a resident of Kiganda Village, Kireka ward, Namugongo Division, Kira Municipality Wakiso District.

According to eyewitnesses, it is alleged that Auma had come to Mukisa’s home for her routine to wash clothes.

As she hanged the clothes on the wire, she was electrocuted.

“The neighbors heard her scream and rushed to save her. She was found in a weak situation. She was taken to Ebenezer Clinic in Kiganda, where she was pronounced dead on arrival” explained Owoyesigyire

Police later picked her body and conveyed to city mortuary mulago for post-mortem.

The police mouthpiece says investigations are ongoing on how the wire got into contact with the electricity.
