If President Yoweri Museveni’s latest love for artists is rubbing you the wrong way, prepare for bigger shock as the son of Amos Kaguta continues to send opponents scattering with his new links with the big names in the entertainment industry.

Before his special envoys Catherine Kusasira, Buchaman and Full figure warm their new seats, the President is said to have reached out to longtime theatre drama legend Sam Bagenda aka Dr.Bbosa.

Museveni’s “down to earth” approach to 2021 politics has been the shock among both his admirers and opponents for a fortnight.

The latest reaching SMLNews is that through his Kyambogo office, the Chairman of the National Resistance Movement is set to grace Dr. Bbosa’s legacy celebrations codenamed “Mu kikadde” on December 5 at Theatre Labonita where the Bibaawo, That’s life mwattu star is set to celebrate close to four decades of a career that has kept him favorite of Kampala’s night life revelers.

The  EBONIES, Uganda’s finest locally and internationally have hosted the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II,the Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda Luswata, former Buganda Premiers Joseph Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogerere, Daniel Muliika, Engineer John Baptist Walusimbi and current Premier Charles Peter Mayiga and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

This will be the first time the President is attending the ebonies plays since he took power in 1986.

Details of the real deal between Mr. Museveni and Dr. Bbosa’s ebonies are still scanty but what is confirmed that the “man with a hat and sack” will attend the “Kikadde show”.

Mr. Museveni’s latest link with musicians and other artists has been criticized by opponents as a futile attempt to divert the country from critical issues of governance and welfare to populistic gimmicks aimed at deflating pop star turned MP Robert Kyagulanyi who has declared he will dare Mr. Museveni in the 2021 Presidential elections.

But the President’s handlers have rubbished the claims saying its part of his routine to reach out to special interest groups for effective service delivery. Watch this space for the latest……….
