[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Rotaractors in Uganda have conducted a medical camp at Rukoni Health Centre, stepping up efforts to fight malaria and improve maternal health in the community. During the camp, mosquito nets, mama kits, and mattresses were handed over to the hospital, alongside free consultations, testing, and treatment services.
Led by the District Rotaract Representative, Semio Ssebukulu, the initiative aimed at reducing the spread of malaria and enhancing maternal care. “Our mission is to protect communities from preventable diseases like malaria and ensure safe deliveries for mothers,” Ssebukulu said. The mosquito nets provided are expected to help in preventing malaria, especially among pregnant women and children.

Health workers expressed their gratitude for the donations, saying they would address critical needs at the health center. One of the beneficiaries, a pregnant mother, shared, “I’m thankful for the mama kit and mosquito net. It will help me during pregnancy and delivery.”
