Members of Parliament and their staff have today departed for Gulu City, ahead of the Wednesday Gulu- sittings 2024, slated for 28th to 30th August 2024, at Kaunda Grounds, Gulu City.
A statement released from Parliament with atentative schedule, some of the Planned activities include tree planting, a visit to the resting place of the former late Speaker Jacob Olanya, and meeting with boda boda riders and women’s group in Gulu.
As part of their corporate social responsibility Parliament has also organised a free medical outreach at Pece Primary school.

Meanwhile local hotels have expanded their capacity, with some opening new branches to accommodate the expected numbers of legislators and their staff.
It’s confirmed that the members of the Opposition will not attend the sittings.
The sittings will commence on Wednesday, with President Museveni exported to address the house on the second day of the plenary.
The regional sittings will conclude on August 31st, 2024 with the departure of Participants.
