Government Reshuffles Resident District Commissioners.

In a significant administrative overhaul, His Excellency the President of Uganda has appointed new Senior Presidential Advisors, Resident District Commissioners (RDCs), Resident City Commissioners, Deputy Resident District Commissioners (DRDCs), and Deputy Resident City Commissioners. This move is part of a broader strategy to enhance governance and ensure effective administration across the country.

 

Key Appointments

 

The reshuffle includes a wide array of positions across Uganda’s administrative regions. Here is an overview of some notable appointments:

 

Resident District Commissioners (RDCs):

Abim: Ekoomi John Stephen

Adjumani: Taban Data Peter

Arua City: Salim Komakech

Bugiri: Kalikwani Paul Mwidu

Hoima City: Badru Mugabi

Kampala: Asiimwe Jane Muhindo

Mbarara City: Kamwine .H. Catherine

Soroti City: Paak Peter Pex

 

Deputy Resident District Commissioners (DRDCs):

Abim: Nakaye Catherine

Arua: Angupale Swadik Alemi

Bugiri: Nkoko Racheal

Gulu: Okidi James Cosmas

Jinja: Tangerine Andrew

Kampala Central: Nsubuga Ali Shaffic

Mbarara: Watch Kaswabuli Peter

Soroti: Bakaki Ronald

 

 

These appointments reflect the President’s commitment to strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring effective local governance. The new RDCs and DRDCs are expected to bring fresh perspectives and energy to their respective roles, fostering improved service delivery and regional development.

Faruk Kirunda, Deputy Press Secretary to the President, emphasized that these changes are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the functionality of Uganda’s government and ensure that each region benefits from capable leadership.
