Shock as President Fires his Cabinet.

Deputy President, Prime Cabinet Secretaries and the Principal Secretaries have survived the dismissal of the cabinet by President Ruto.

Addressing the nation at the state house in Nairobi on July 11, 2024, President William Ruto said he has committed to dissolve his cabinet after listening to the Kenyans expressing the performance and challenges of the cabinet.

Relying on the on the power given to him by the constitution in article 152(1) and 152(5)(b) section 12 of the Attorney General Act, he has decided to dismiss with immediate effect all legislative body except the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Kithuri Kindiki, Njunguna Ndung’u,Alfred Mutua and many more fired.

Ruto assured Kenyans that the operations of the government will continue uninterrupted under the guidance of Principal Secretaries and other relevant officials. He has promised to immediately engage in extensive consultations in different sectors and political formations.

He has promised to assemble a new team that will assist him in accelerating and expediting the necessary, urgent and irreversible, implementation of radical programs to deal with the burden of debt, raising domestic resources, expanding job opportunities, eliminate wastage and unnecessary duplication of a multiplicity of government agencies and eliminate the vice of corruption.
