WHY MUSEVENI MUST TAME HIS KADAGA

There is growing uproar about the collapse of 1^st deputy prime minister and Kamuli district woman MP Rebecca Kadaga from NRM’s Central Executive Committee. The tones of anger and frustration are understandable given the many decades of her presence and service.

Kadaga scored 7.2% of the national vote to lose her slot in CEC to the speaker of parliament Rt. Hon Annet Anita Among’s 92.8%.

Kadaga’s loyalists have since launched an onslaught to portray Anita Among’s supporters as unpatriotic and enemies of Busoga. Her supporters are rallying the people to shun the “Team Mulamu” politicians vying for political offices.

While appearing on Busoga region’s prime radio NBS 89.4 FM, Kigulu South NRM Flagbearer Patrick Kayemba Gavamukulya and Buzaaya MP Martin Mugabi Muzaale on Saturday, September 30,2025 told listeners it was their time to pass justice to those who had voted Anita Among forgetting that   both Anita Among and Rebecca Kadaga are senior politicians in the NRM.

Rallying Busoga to shun Anita Among’s supporters is to ask them to vote opposition leaders. No wonder Kadaga’s homecoming fete on September 18 was nothing but a National Unity Platform celebration. Loud chants in praise of NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi covered the trail. At Buwenge Town in Jinja the slogans were louder “Museveni Must Go”

This way, Kadaga’s loyalists are fighting Museveni and the NRM not Anita Among as they so claim.

Over the last decades prominent politicians have cried to Museveni to save them from Kadaga while shattering their careers in vain. Former Ministers Isaac Musumba, Edward Baliddawa Kafuufu, Moses Kizige, Esther Mbayo are down because of the abuse of power that Mr. Museveni granted her then “blue eyed” girl.

Mr. Museveni has been heavily funding Kadaga for every election cycle to mobilize and organize the region but she has done the reverse. Using this state funding to fight her opponents and funding her loyalists, she’s been a liability silently but the President did not want to know.

Its tradition that Kadaga will find politicians to attack every election cycle, its known and she has launched the same. Neither her nor Persis Namuganza are explaining the whereabouts of the billions Museveni gave out to promote tourism in Busoga.

Her huge crowd were good enough for a heroic welcome but empty on content. Did the senior party leader rally people to support PDM? Did she thank the people who offered Museveni signatures, did she enumerate what NRM has accomplished in the ending term.

MAAMA as popularly known has clashed with the institution of obwa kyabazinga that she has always claimed to have restored.

She’s remembered to have once remarked of how she prevailed over Museveni to accept the current Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope revealing that Museveni had preferred another candidate.

There many times MAAMA has made venomous public statements. Insinuating that if it were not for her, perhaps Busoga wouldn’t have reaped from the NRM and president Yoweri Museveni.

But truth be told Kadaga will never outsmart Anita Among. There is a big difference in their character and leadership styles. Anita Among likes building others and promoting those with opportunities. The reverse is true for MAAMA.

Kadaga does not share credit, she’s responsible for every good thing done while others are to blame for whatever has not been done, very selfish being built with immunity by Museveni.

Speaker of Parliament Rt.Hon.Anita Annet Among has become the latest political commander in Busoga as the region sighs from Kadaga’s antagonistic leadership

Anita Among is now more acceptable in Busoga than MAAMA. She will deliver it well with less strain. She has already demonstrated her capacity to unite worrying factions, eliminate intrigue and political cliques. During her election as CEC member at Kololo, politicians who had taken long without seeing eye-to-eye all united to vote for her against Kadaga. She is a political maestro, giant of unity, very amiable and outward looking.

Kadaga is not fighting Among but Museveni and NRM. Museveni must tame his Kadaga, the earlier the better! Take it or leave it, Anita Among’s TEAM MULAMU now owns Busoga. Thank you MAAMA but enough is enough!
