Hon. Mathias Mpuuga has spoken out against National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. He says Bobi Wine and his team are using his name for their own benefit, and he has now threatened to take legal action against him.<\/p>\n
Mpuuga said he has been attacked many times by Bobi Wine and other NUP leaders. He feels these attacks are unfair and done to make him look bad.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the past few months, I feel like Bobi Wine keeps talking about me,\u201d Mpuuga said. \u201cMaybe even hearing my name makes him uncomfortable, though I don\u2019t know why.\u201d<\/p>\n
Even though he\u2019s been criticized many times, Mpuuga said he used to stay quiet. He thought the attacks were just a way to provoke him and take his attention away from more important things.<\/p>\n
But now, he says he has had enough. Speaking about recent comments made by NUP leaders, he said:<\/p>\n
\u201cThis morning, I decided to respond to something that was said yesterday by NUP, led by Bobi Wine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mpuuga said the recent attacks were more personal. He said both he and Hon. Juliet Nakabuye were named directly.<\/p>\n
He accused NUP leaders of caring more about themselves than about helping the country. He also shared a story about a time when Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya was sick in the hospital. Mpuuga said a NUP leader still brought him papers to sign, calling it \u201cheartless.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mpuuga believes Bobi Wine is using his name to gain more political power.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has made enough gains using my name. Now it\u2019s time I speak up so that people can see what\u2019s really going on,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mpuuga also felt sorry for some NUP supporters. He said many of them are being used by their leaders for personal success.<\/p>\n
