President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has today arrived at Rwakitura cell, Nshwerenkye parish in Kiruhura district. His visit marks the official start of a major NRM activity\u2014the verification of the party register and the election of LC1 flag bearers and village structures.<\/p>\n
This event is part of a countrywide effort taking place in over 72,000 polling stations across Uganda. At the village Baraza in Rwakitura, President Museveni is overseeing the process to ensure accuracy and transparency in updating the party members’ register. The verification will help identify genuine members and strengthen internal democracy within the ruling party.<\/p>\n
Alongside this, voting is also taking place to elect the NRM LC1 flag bearers, who will represent the party at the village level. These leaders form the foundation of the party\u2019s structure and play a key role in mobilizing support and maintaining party unity at the grassroots.<\/p>\n
