Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has commended the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) for achieving self-sustainability, urging the army to engage in more development projects to boost the country’s growth.<\/p>\n

This was during his visit to the UPDF’s industrial complex in Nakasongola. He expressed admiration for the army’s innovative efforts in manufacturing and production, noting that the force\u2019s self-sufficiency is a testament to the country’s progress towards economic independence.<\/p>\n

The President encouraged the UPDF to expand its development activities, emphasizing the importance of the army’s role in nation-building. He highlighted the need for the UPDF to contribute to Uganda’s economic growth, infrastructure development, and social transformation.<\/p>\n
