{"id":7101,"date":"2024-06-16T19:57:43","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T19:57:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smlnews.ug\/Luganda\/?p=7101"},"modified":"2024-06-16T19:57:43","modified_gmt":"2024-06-16T19:57:43","slug":"childrens-voices-heard-government-commits-to-education-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smlnews.ug\/Luganda\/2024\/06\/16\/childrens-voices-heard-government-commits-to-education-transformation\/","title":{"rendered":"Children&#8217;s voices heard, Government commits to Education transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Nakitto Joselyn Elizabeth<\/p>\n<p>Following the Children&#8217;s parliament that took place yesterday June 15, 2024 children have presented their challenges and needs to the government officials and the stake holders in the education sector during the International Day of the African Child which has been commemorated today June 16, 2024 in Kiryandongo District at the Kiryandongo District Headquarters.<br \/>\nIn response to children&#8217;s needs for a safe and supportive learning environment, access to modern resources, and well-trained and motivated teachers, Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Hon Balaam Barugahara, has stated that the government of Uganda is committed to taking concrete action to transform the education experience.<br \/>\n&#8220;Education is not just a fundamental right but also a cornerstone of progress and prosperity for the continent.
