Sande Mukisa,Emmanuel Muguwa a resident of Buwenge,Seemu Musasizi and Samuel Muwanguzi a resident of Mutungo – Bbiina were arrested from separate places in February last year on charges of attempted murder of the man of God.<\/p>\n
Prosecution alleges that the accused conspired to attend a church service at the main cathedral of the church where they intended to meet the man of God and shoot him dead.<\/p>\n
They were held on the charge for months until later when it was amended attempting to abduct the prophet. The accused are former members of the church who openly disagreed with the acts of caning believers, forcing marriages and burdening members with revenue collections against their will.<\/p>\n
They are part of the dissenters that have been holding parallel crusades in Bwondha,Namutumba,Kirama,Nangonde,Buwenge and Kaliro in support of Daudi Isanga\u2019s predecessor and founding father of the Universal Apostles Church of Righteousness Micross Mafabi aka Nabbi Joshua who was deposed by his successor.<\/p>\n
Kiira Regional Police spokesman James Mubi testified on March 7,2023 before Magistrate Arinda who threatened to send him to jail over what appeared like contempt of court conduct.<\/p>\n
The magistrate also directed that all records relating to the case file be availed when court resumes on March 23 since the investigations have been on since February 12,2022 when the suspects were arrested.<\/p>\n
The case\u2019s investigating officer a one Byamukama and the complainant are expected to testify when court resumes.<\/p>\n
