According to Mrs. Babalanda, the Commissioners will receive lectures on how to improve their monitoring and supervision responsibilities, the strategies they should employ to enhance service delivery in their individual areas of jurisdiction, and how to implement the Parish Development Model (PDM) to help Ugandans escape poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Yoweri Museveni noted during the PDM’s launch in February 2022 that through it, the government will deliver services to the people more effectively and get useful feedback from them on wealth creation and the delivery of services by the government in order to hasten socioeconomic transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to President Yoweri Museveni’s request to restore the delicate nature, the Minister further stated that the RDCs\/RCCs will also receive training on how to safeguard and conserve the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The subject of the nation’s widespread illegal land evictions will also be tackled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
H.E. the President outlawed all land evictions in the nation early this year that take place without the approval of the relevant District Security Committees (DSC) led by the RDCs\/RCCs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, they will be considering how to effectively enforce the presidential directive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Article 71 of the Local Government Act of 1997, the RDC coordinates government services in the district and advises the district chairperson on matters of a national nature that may affect the district or its plans or programs. The RDC also represents the President and the government in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
