Investigations into some of Uganda’s most disturbing murder cases have taken a sharp new turn. This follows shocking revelations made by former senior police officer Nixon Agasirwe, who is currently in prison. Agasirwe has started cooperating with investigators, and what he\u2019s revealing is shaking the foundations of the country\u2019s security system.<\/p>\n
According to trusted sources, President Yoweri Museveni has ordered top security units\u2014Crime Intelligence, CID, and Defence Intelligence\u2014to reopen murder files, especially the case of State Prosecutor Joan Kagezi, who was gunned down in 2015. The renewed investigations are being led by Major Tom Magambo, and the findings so far are believed to involve senior police officers, influential politicians, wealthy businessmen, and well-known lawyers.<\/p>\n
One of the key suspects now under serious scrutiny is Hajji Abdallah Kitata, the former head of the controversial group Bodaboda 2010. He is suspected of being involved in multiple crimes, including the murder of Eritrean national Daniel Weldu. According to court documents, the victim was abducted, robbed of luxury cars, and forced to transfer over Shs 8 billion while at gunpoint in Agasirwe\u2019s office in Kololo. Shockingly, some lawyers and bank officials allegedly witnessed the crime and are now being watched closely by authorities.<\/p>\n
The case gets even deeper. Investigators have found that Kitata was seen driving a Land Cruiser once owned by Joan Kagezi, which mysteriously disappeared two months after her murder. The police are now trying to find out how he got hold of the car and what happened to it.<\/p>\n
Agasirwe is also said to have important information about the killings of other high-profile Ugandans, including AIGP Felix Kaweesi, ASP Muhammad Kirumira, Col. Ibrahim Abiriga, and several city sheikhs. His cooperation may finally uncover the truth behind these unresolved murders.<\/p>\n
As part of tightening security, the army has withdrawn all UPDF guards from Kitata, leaving only Christine Muhooza under protection. She is believed to have been close to Kaweesi and may possess valuable intelligence.<\/p>\n
