Will Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City Halt Liverpool’s Title Procession?

Chelsea would finally put the premier league trophy of 2019/2020 in jurgen klopp’s hands by taking off Manchester city today at 22:15 (EAT) at Stamford bridge.

This comes after the Reds beat up crystal palace 4-0 yesterday (goals by Alexander Arnold 23, M.salah 44, Fabinho 55 and Mane 69 respectively).

Liverpool is leading the table with 86 points while Manchester city which is in the second position has 63 points.

However if city wins today’s game against Chelsea, there will be a showdown at Etihad on July 2 where city would have to win in order to halt liverpool ‘s title procession.

If city wins the game on July 2 where they will be playing against klopp’s liverpool then klopp will only have to win Aston villa at Anfield on July 5 inorder to be declared the champions

Manchester city’s pep Guardiola’s side had to get a maximum of 87 points if they were to win all their remaining games while liverpool was to get 109 points if they were to also win all their remaining games clear of the champions of last year (manchester city) who can now only reach 87 points if they were to win all the remaining games.
